gksh joins Leverhulme Trust sonification project “radical” UK

10.08.2020 – After almost two years of conceptual work an application procedures the research project “radical” was awarded by the Leverhulme Trust at the department of Computer & Information Sciences in the Faculty of Engineering and Environment at Northumbria University.

The multi-disciplinary project, with computer scientists and sound artists, aims for developing a fundamental understanding of the relationship between sonification design and the listener to stimulate a revitalised agenda for sonification research and practice. Moreover, IKO loudspeaker and diverse spatialisation techniques developed by gksh will be integrated in the research process for the design of advanced teaching and representation environments.
